Princesses Not Orphans

We just finished another fun filled Faith Lift tea for God’s Princesses and I Just spent a delightful morning being ministered to by some wonderful women and good friends. As I was enjoying myself my husband was contending with our not always so wonderful German Shepherd Elsie. She had gotten herself into quite some trouble today. I won’t go into all the sorted details other than to say she was not a very good girl. We have a running joke at our house when she does things that aren’t so pleasing for her people. We say “Tell me again, why do we have her?” Even though we would never really abandon Elsie there are some days when she is awfully close to becoming an orphan. lol

Of course after just hearing how we are God’s daughters and Princesses so loved by Him I immediately thought I am so grateful that God never says that about me. No matter what trouble I find myself in through my own unwise choices He never says “Now why do I keep her around?” Instead I hear in my heart “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6b

What else would I expect to hear from a loving Father. There is absolutely nothing any of us could do that He would not forgive us for or stop loving us over. I am so thankful to know that when I repent, turn and head in the right direction He is always right there with forgiveness and His oh so extravagant abundant love and I hear Him whisper in my ear “You are forgiven My child. Now go and sin no more.”

I am so thankful for my Abba (Daddy’s) love and forgiveness. We daughters of His have much to be thankful for as we walk together on the road that leads us home.

How blessed we are to experience a sisterhood with the love and protection of our “Abba”.
