God’s Words

Well I’m sure you’ve heard the news of Kodak filing bankruptcy. I shared the information with my daughter and asked her if it would impact them since her husband does some work for Kodak through his employer. I was so happy with her response. She said “God is in control and we will be fine.” As a parent I was overjoyed to see my words come back to me from my daughter. When I hear words like that come from her lips I know she listened. I know she heard. I know I impacted her life for good.

This morning as I thought about that tears streamed down my face as I realized that is what God wants from us as well. He wants to hear His words of promise flowing from our lips to His ears. It must give Him such joy to hear His children speak back to Him His own words and truly believe them.

Father, I know you love me.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Father, I know you have a plan to give me a future and a hope.

Jer 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Father, I know you watch over me and hear me when I call.

Psalm 34:15 The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and his ears are attentive to their cry.

Father, I know you will keep me safe.

Psalm 112:7 The LORD will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life.

What a loving Father we have. How He delights to hear His words come back to Him. Let’s speak them loud and with boldness for He says of His word, “It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:11

Thank you Father for Your word for it is a lamp on to my feet and light on to my path.

This is so beautiful! Would you have thought as Aubrey lay in the hospital bed after the motorcycle accident that years later she would be standing and that you could hear these words. God is so good!

I remember that day. I remember the doctor saying she might lose her leg but I knew that would not be the case. God’s promises are true. He has been soooo good. What a loving Father. How could anyone not want this kind of love. It’s unfathomable to me. Love you Lisa

One of mine as well Debbie. I remember when I first found Jer 29:11, I thought it was just for me but then I found that every Christian knows that verse. It is for all of us. What a good God we serve. He is such a loving Father.
